Hinged Safety Cover TFM for Clamping Jaw, Full Metal

The TFM protects the lathe operator from contact with the rotating chuck. In addition, hot chips, oil, coolant or any other type of flying parts are also repelled. Nevertheless, the shielding can easily be opened if you want to change the workpiece or chuck. (For additional protection we recommend the sliding lathe protection device MAJOR or chip protection device TC for rear mounting respectively TC for front mounting.)

The robust steel construction is resistant to mechanical and chemical influences. In addition, the protective device has a safety microswitch for additional safety. When the locked protective cover moves, the microswitch opens and sends a stop signal to the machine control. This prevents the machine from running when the screen is open.

The semicircular protective screen can be flexibly positioned on the holder. Let yourself be convinced by the simple assembly and adjustment.

For the selection of the optimum size of the lathe chuck guard, please also consider the dimension of any protruding clamping jaws. We also recommend a safety distance of approx. 100 mm.

Calculation example for the selection of the correct size: Spindle diameter 250 mm plus length of the protruding clamping jaws of 50 mm (this time two: left/right), plus safety distance 100 mm = 450 mm = TFM450 You can find instructions for correct dimensioning here.
