Spare Part: Protective Cover with Polycarbonate Plate for Safety Guard POL

With the POL safety guard you receive the same protection as with our model TF or model TFM full metal, but with a screen made of sheet steel with large polycarbonate viewing windows.  The POL protects the lathe operator from contact with the rotating chuck. In addition, hot chips, oil, coolant or any other type of flying parts are also repelled. Nevertheless, the shielding can easily be opened if you want to change the workpiece or chuck.  For additional protection, we recommend the sliding lathe guard Major or chip guard TC for rear mounting on the lathe respectively chip guard TC for front mounting on the lathe.  The robust steel construction is resistant to mechanical and chemical influences. In addition, the protective device has a safety microswitch for additional safety. When the locked protective cover moves, the microswitch opens and sends a stop signal to the machine control. This prevents the machine from running when the screen is open.  The semicircular protective screen can be flexibly positioned on the holder. Let yourself be convinced by the simple assembly and adjustment.  For the selection of the optimum size of the lathe chuck guard, please also consider the dimension of any protruding clamping jaws.
