Do two jobs in one with our new, steerable VIPER Video Nozzle!

We recently added steerable VIPER flushing cameras "Made in Germany" to our sewer camera range. There are three different models: a VIPER Light version, a VIPER compact, and one with a long hose (long-range version). So you can tailor your VIPER flushing camera to your specific application, we offer several versions that are perfectly suited to your needs – from the powerful model with an extra-long range to the Light version, our portable compact solution. The three products differ mainly in the length of the hoses and how they can be transported (on a small compact trolley, or as a version for carrying - with automatic hose reel, or without). All cameras have the same camera and the same nozzle. However, this can be supplemented by an accessory, a more powerful flexsegment with different even more powerful rotating nozzles.

Advantages of the VIPER Camera Series

The steerable camera enables the cleaning and inspection of branched pipes in a single operation. This flushing camera is a pipe and sewer cleaning system that saves time, money, and resources and enables a needs-based cleaning process. Further advantages for the camera system are:

  • Thanks to the impressive full HD live image, the innovative system enables clearer cleaning, as it clearly reveals the causes of recurring blockages without the need for additional camera inspections. Further measures, such as pipe rehabilitation, can be initiated quickly.
  • Labor time, water, and fuel are used extremely efficiently; time-consuming follow-up cleaning is avoided.
  • The camera's steerability enables the exploration of branched pipe systems. Due to the high pulling force of the cleaning nozzles, even vertical lines can be cleaned and inspected against the flow direction. Inspection of branched pipe systems from a single access point is possible, for example, branching off from the main sewer into property drainage systems is made possible by the system's steerability.
  • The entire process, including nozzle pressure, inclination, distance counter, and more, is continuously documented on a USB stick.
  • The VIPER's inspection and cleaning head moves to the apex of the pipe, where it remains even when the pipes are full of water or debris. This cannot be achieved to the same extent by conventional inspection cameras or push-pull cameras.
  • With the switchable forward jet nozzle, blockages are immediately cleared, allowing inspection to continue immediately. The causes of potential problems in the pipe are identified directly, without the need for a separate camera inspection. Further measures can be discussed with the customer on-site. Thanks to the modular design, the nozzles can be upgraded from the standard cleaning nozzle to the cable and chain thrower.
  • Preliminary work prior to rehabilitation with liners, coatings, or injections, complete root removal, removal of incrustations and deposits, and removal of concrete residue in newly laid sewer lines can be effectively carried out and documented in a single operation without the need for additional inspection equipment.
  • When cleaning renovated pipes, compliance with the prescribed maximum flushing pressure is ensured and documented by displaying it in the camera image. Damage such as flushing out the pipe bed, loosening of liner ends, or short liners is effectively prevented. The flushing pressure is also recorded on video for customer verification. This allows the degree of contamination to be identified, and the cleaning process can be adjusted accordingly. Blockages in the pipe and the associated sticking of the hose and nozzle are a thing of the past.
  • Sharp objects in the pipe, such as broken glass, unknown obstacles, or extreme contamination, are detected in a timely manner, virtually eliminating damage to the flushing hose and the risk of the nozzle getting stuck or burying itself. • Working with the system enables newcomers to achieve good results right from the start and avoid major errors.
  • Pipe defects are detected immediately, effectively preventing further damage such as flushing out the pipe bed.
  • The pipe routes and problem areas of all pipes, even previously unknown or out-of-service pipes, can be precisely located using precise path length measurements and the integrated locator transmitter.

Key Features

The buoyant hybrid hoses are available in ½" and 3/8" sizes and impress with their robustness and minimal pressure loss. The electrical conductors are deeply embedded in the sheath and protected by the proven, abrasion-resistant, smooth coating. The hose was developed in collaboration with the technology leader in this field and is manufactured exclusively.

The waterproof control panel is machined from a single block of aluminum and is ideal for use in all weather conditions. It features an extremely bright, high-resolution display with a screen diagonal of 25 cm, so you always have a clear view of the cleaning process.

The internal, pressure-monitored HD camera with sensors and integrated front jet nozzle measures just 40 mm in diameter. Built into a solid stainless steel housing with impact protection, the camera inspects the underground through a virtually indestructible, 4 mm thick sapphire crystal.

Thanks to the extensive range of accessories, the user-friendly systems can be adapted to a wide variety of, even very specific, on-site requirements. With the VIPER system, users enjoy all the benefits of flushing under camera surveillance.

FAQ about the VIPER camera system

What do you need to operate a VIPER flushing camera?

With a minimum flow rate of 30 l/min and 110 bar, all models can be operated without problems. Customizations are available upon request.

How do you control the flushing camera in the pipe?

By simply turning the hose, you can steer into branches, maneuver around obstacles, or guide the camera along the pipe crown.

Can I operate the camera system with my high-pressure flushing device?

With a minimum flow of 30 l/min and 110 bar, you can operate all models without any problems. Customizations are possible upon request.

How long can I work on one battery charge?

A battery lasts for 2.5 hours, can be charged on the move, or can be replaced.

Can the hose be repaired?

Yes, the defective part of the hose can be shortened by us or at a service center. The hose usually breaks at one point and is therefore defective, and shortening the hose is the so-called repair, after which the hose/camera works again.

For which pipe dimensions is the VIPER camera system suitable?

From DN80, the system can accommodate multiple 45° bends and turns. From DN100, the system can accommodate multiple 90° bends and turns. The cleaning performance is excellent up to DN200 – depending on the flushing pressure, larger dimensions can also be cleaned. The camera's illumination enables inspections up to DN400 – but orientation within the pipe and the location of inlets is possible up to DN800.

What are the advantages of a VIPER flushing camera?

  • Efficient and resource-saving work – saves time and money
  • Cleaning under camera observation (Full HD) simplifies work and increases process reliability
  • Controlled turning into inlets and branches
  • Damage can be identified immediately, and remediation measures can be discussed on-site with the customer
  • Cost savings, as subsequent camera inspection to assess the condition is no longer necessary
  • Inspection of locations that cannot be reached with any camera system

Regarding the hose: What is special about the VIPER hybrid hose?

The hose was specially developed for tough conditions and is manufactured exclusively for the camera system. Compared to a rubber hose, the hose's elongation is extremely low. The electrical conductors are housed in the sheath of the Kevlar-reinforced hose, providing reliable protection from damage. The consistent separation of electrical and water components eliminates transmission problems due to corrosion. This allows for recycled water operation, HD video quality, and the transmission of sensor data such as tilt angles.

The hose is also:

  • Floatable
  • Slippery
  • Reversible thanks to identical quick-release couplings on both sides
  • Can be used with a working pressure of up to 300 bar

How did this camera system come about?

The company's founders were repeatedly approached by users and resellers with a request for a combined inspection and cleaning system. This is met with the innovative VIPER flushing camera system, which is based on decades of industry experience and the technical expertise of the company's founders. This combines expertise from the sales of specialty cameras for optical inspection and industrial electronics (Siemens) for control systems for water supply and disposal, as well as further knowledge from the field of sewer inspection and trenchless pipe rehabilitation.
