Abrasive Belt Guide SPIDER for Finishing Workpieces
Our safety belt sander for lathes "Spider" for the finishing of workpieces ensures safety. Most accidents on lathes occur during regrinding, polishing and removal of burrs. Designed according to DIN EN 23125 standards 6.2.1 (no use of hands during working operations), your hands no longer come close to rotating machine parts.
Simple mounting
The grinding belt holder Spider is quickly mounted on the tool holder of the lathe and is immediately ready for use. The grinding belt guide is pressed against the workpiece with the carriage, the hands of the operator are far away from danger points. A manually operated crank allows the abrasive belt to be turned further when worn. This also happens outside the danger zones.
Note: the crank shown in the pictures only serves to transport the worn abrasive belt. The actual work is "done" by the tool slide.
Work Facilitation
By using the spider, you achieve a consistent sanding result. Depending on how close the tool slide comes to the workpiece, a uniform pressure is exerted on the workpiece to be machined. This is a tremendous improvement over the conventional and more dangerous manual method.
Spare part: Abrasive belts
Different belts (grain size, material) can be used according to your requirements. The belt can be changed quickly and easily: lift the lower tensioning spring, the abrasive belt relaxes and can be changed.
